    Text Albert J. Hucke, 85, of Millstadt, Ill., born Sept. 25, 1910, in Millstadt, Il., died Jan. 11, 1996, in Belleville, Ill.
    Mr. Hucke had worked for the former Morgan Coal Co. in Millstadt for nearly 20 years and retired from Millstadt Golden Dipt after 13 years. He also farmed for over 60 years. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Millstadt Volunteer Fire Department, Progressive Mine Workers of America Local 76 of which he served as recording secretary for many years and of which he was the last surviving member. He was also a member of the American Federation of Grain Millers Local 392 and the St. Clair County Farm Bureau.
    He was preceeded in death by his wife, Marie, nee Rosso, Hucke who died July 22, 1995; his parents, Frank and Helena, nee Jacobi, Hucke; two sisters-in-law, Charlene (Mrs. John F.) Hucke and Pauline Rosso.
    Surviving are four sons, Robert (Susan) Hucke, Bert (Carol) Hucke, Larry (Michael) Hucke and Leon (Donna) Hucke; six grandchildren, Alan, Matthew, Steven, Jonathan, Erin and Adam; a brother John F. Hucke; and nieces, nephews,great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law.
    Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15, 1996, at St. James Catholic Church, Millstadt, Ill., with Fr. Paul Harbaugh officiating. Burial will be in St. James Catholic Cemetery, Millstadt, Ill.
    Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 14 and from 8 to 9:45 a.m. Monday Jan. 15 at Strauss Funeral Home, Millstadt, Ill.
    A special service will be held by the Millstadt Fire Department at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
    Memorials may be made to St. James Parish School Endowment Fund, Millstadt Fire Department or in the form of Masses.
