Clarence Roos
Clarence Roos, 95, of Millstadt, Ill., born July 27, 1910, in Millstadt,
Ill., died Thursday, April 6, 2006, at Canterbury Manor Nursing Home,
Waterloo, Ill.
Clarence was a retired farmer, coal miner, and miller. He was a member
of the St. Clair County Farm Bureau and St. James Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Touchette, whom he married on June 10, 1936; his parents, Adam and Margaret, nee Hucke, Roos; and his sister, Florence Kuehner.
He is survived by his second wife, Viola, nee Pistor Mueller, Roos,
whom he married July 4, 1962; a son, Clyde (Roxanne) Roos of Millstadt,
Ill.; a daughter, Clara Mae (Donald) Hoquet of Normandy, Mo.; four
grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be received at the funeral home.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2006, and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2006, at Creason Funeral Home, 220 W. Washington,
Funeral: Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2006, at St. James Catholic Church, Millstadt, Ill., with the Rev. Marvin Volk officiating. Interment will be in St. James Cemetery, Millstadt, Ill.
