Patrick stayed in Ireland and farmered the farm where the four Cotter sisters grew up in Dromaddamore, Lyreacrumpane, Co.Kerry. At one stage there were five Cotter families in Dromaddamore but now there are none. The old house still stands where our Cotter family lived. Patrick Cotter married Catherine Cremins in 1920 and they had my grandmother Hannah Cotter late in 1920. Hannah Cotter married John O'Connor in 1943. They had my mother Kathleen O'Connor in 1949.
