Ruth H. Sliment, nee Rosso, 86, of Belleville, IL, born December 14, 1927, in St. Louis, MO, died Thursday, January 9, 2014, at St. Paul’s Home, Belleville, IL.
Mrs. Sliment graduated from St. Theresa’s Academy in East St. Louis, IL. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Armand C. Sliment, whom she married on September 16, 1950, and who died on December 26, 1996; her parents, Dominic Sr. and Frieda, nee Vogel, Rosso; and three sisters, Pauline Rosso, Julia Nogalski, and Marie Hucke.
Surviving are her three daughters, Kathy (Bob) Helfrich of Millstadt, IL,
Judith (Michael) Curtis of Belleville, IL,
and Sandra Sliment of Belleville, IL;
a granddaughter, Laura (Dan) Muskopf of Belleville, IL;
three great-grandsons, Troy, Trevor, and Travis;
two brothers, Bud Rosso,
and Dominic Rosso;
numerous nieces, nephews;
and cousins.
Memorials may be made to Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, or to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.
Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. Jack McEvilly officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Garden of Memory, Belleville, IL.
